Skype

No big post today. Finley and I went shopping at Johnson Creek Outlets and found some great stuff and good sales (a pair of Crocs for me for $2.99! among other deals). He was really good once I got him out of the house- he loves being outside and the mall is an outdoor one. Even walking outdoors between stores was good enough for Finley.
The major thing I have to report is that Nate and I used Skype to talk tonight. I can download the app to my iphone so he can pretty much "call" me via his computer and since it's on my iphone (which I carry around everywhere- even at home) I will know. I can either just talk to him from there or log on to the computer if I am at home and do a video chat (which is what we did tonight). I like the feeling of always having things at my finger tips with my iphone. The deployment was one of the reasons we decided back in November that I should get such a phone and now I am and addict. Nate was a Blackberry (Crackberry) addict before that so I guess it's in both our blood to love our tech savvy gadgets? Nate did not get to see Finley as I had put him to bed prior to the conversation but he got to see 4/5 pets doing what they do best... hanging out. It was nice to chat and see him and I think that Skype a great way to communicate during this deployment. What a good day... shopping and getting to talk to my husband!
